We found a true treasure antique shopping TAYLOR SWIFT!!

Yesterday, my two daughters and I (ages 10 and 15) were going to the Agoura Antique Mall and while we were shopping we saw Taylor Swift and met her! Once we figured out that it was truly Taylor, my 15 year old, Tessa Rose, got teary-eyed and bright red in her face - I thought she was going to faint. You see, Tessa is Taylor biggest fan. We have gone to all her concerts. Tessa was so inspired by Taylor that we bought her a guitar for her 15th bday and she taught herself how to play. She plays several Taylor Swift songs and sings to them as well. (I was very impressed!) Taylor was very kind and humble and asked if we wanted to take some photos - so here they are. What a blessing - we will never forget yesterday. It was a God thing for sure. 

Quick fix for Ring Display

I needed to have a place where I could see all my nice rings and now they are also going to be kept clean in this "ring box" I just made. I took wide velvet ribbon and spray mounted it to card stock and cut pieces & rolled(bent) them over to fit in this flea market find - french gold box with a glass top. It works perfectly and I am so happy. Now I have a place for my rings - that is pretty to look at too!!

Ella's painting

This is an Ella original oil painting - she painted it a few months ago when she was 9 years old. She continues to oil paint weekly and is presently working on a landscape. This is a portrait of a friends dog Amy.

Vintage Textile Show

Went to the Vintage Textile and Clothing Show in Burbank Ca on Sunday. How much fun was that? I took my frined Catherine - her first time. So fun! Saw my other friend Bonnie there as well. I will post some things I bought soon :)

Drinking coffee... me? What?

Helping my friend with her new blog site... now I am home drinking coffee (which I never do) so I can have some energy :) I am more of a hot chocolate or tea person. By the way Catherine, your tea was very tasty today :) Thanks!

Table scape with moss and roses

When our backyard was finished we had a photo shoot for a design publication. My friend Kimm & I designed the centerpiece out of several different kinds of moss, then added green hydrangea and pink garden roses. After that we added some small and medium sized candles that were an ivory color. 

SO MAGICAL - I wish it could of stayed like that forever. After the photo shoot we let the hydrangea, moss and roses just hang around and dry out - actually it looked nice for a long time  :)
